This is the guide for the second gate of the Abyssal Dungeon Kayangel. The minimum item level for this dungeon is 1540 for normal mode and 1580 for hard mode. There are slight differences in mechanics between normal and hard mode and they will be listed below. This will be the first raid where the focus will be placed more on normal patterns versus mechanics. So pay special attention to the normal patterns down below. Before starting this raid, every DPS member must assign themselves as either 1, 7 or 11 which will be important for the first mechanic discussed below.
In addition, for this gate, it will be based on elemental attacks. If any of your party members get hit by these elemental attacks, you will gain a stack of the element debuff which will need to be cleansed unless otherwise stated. The blue debuff will slow your attack and movement speed and freeze you with max stacks, the red debuff will do DoT (damage over time) with the damage increasing the higher the stacks, and the green debuff willRewards | ![]() |

The major mechanics for gate 2 are listed as follows:
Throughout the raid, there is a timed pattern that Prunya will do. She will freeze all party members every 1:30 minutes starting at the 7:40 minute mark. You would have to keep pressing spacebar to fill the bar. Prunya will start to pulse either a blue aura or a black aura. All party members would have to complete the spacebar mechanic as she's pulsing the black aura. Should you accidentally complete the spacebar mech during the blue aura, that is an instant death for the party member.
Another mech that Prunya will do periodically is she will teleport to the center of the map and spawn 3 orbs of each color (red, green and blue). These orbs will fire an attack at each other nullifying those orbs. In essence, nothing needs to be done here. However, a good thing of note is that once she does this pattern, she's free to do any other normal pattern or mechanic described below. As such, you may accidentally touch an attack (which also provides you with that color debuff) from that orb, therefore, not nullifying that orb. Should any party member have intercepted one of these attacks, it's important to destroy the orb that isn't nullified as it will cause an AOE explosion shortly after which deals massive damage if it's left untouched.
At around 60 bars of HP, Prunya will teleport to the center and begin channeling. At the same time, 3 orbs will spawn in an upside down triangle shape: green at top right, blue at top left and red at the bottom. Make sure all party members are in their assigned position and cleansed from all debuffs. Supports are also strongly encouraged to save their awakening for this first mechanic if the support is not confident their awakening will be back up in time for this mechanic. Prunya will fire 3 smaller orbs of the OPPOSITE color (Think Pokemon. Grass is weak against Fire, Fire is weak against Water and Water is weak against Grass) at the orbs already spawned. For example, at the top right, there will be red orbs being fired at the larger green orb, green orbs being fired at the larger blue orb and blue orbs being fired at the larger red orb. The goal of this mechanic is to intercept those smaller orbs so that those orbs don't reach the larger orbs. If any of the smaller orbs get in contact with the larger orbs, the larger orbs will be destroyed and you may not be able to execute what happens afterwards. Once the party members have intercepted the first set of orbs, move clockwise to intercept the next set of orbs. This will happen 6 times. These orbs do hurt, so as mentioned above, supports should use their awakening here to avoid the rest of the party members taking a lot of damage from this mechanic. Afterwards, there will be a color at the bottom of Prunya's feet. You must destroy the larger orb opposite of that color. If her foot has a blue color, then destroy the green orb, if her foot has a red color, then destroy the blue orb and finally, if her foot has a green color, destroy the red orb.
Each type of orb destroyed has it's own set of debuffs which lasts for a few seconds. Destroying the blue orb will freeze the party, destroying the red orb will give a small damage over time debuff and lastly, the green orb will decrease your party's movement and attack speed quite a bit. However, it is necessary to destroy the right color orb to complete the mechanic. Prunya will then proceed to do a map wide attack that will nullify the debuff that's inflicted on you if you succeeded in the mechanic. However, should you fail, in normal mode, that will result in death for on ilvl party members and do massive damage to over ilvl members and in hard mode, it is a raid wipe.
There are no differences in mechanic for normal and hard mode. However, in normal mode, it is possible to cheese this mechanic by having all party members stand in one area of the map. Once the color shows under Prunya's foot, the support will use his/her awakening to provide a big shield to all party members. This shield is enough to nullify the damage that the party members would take from the AOE attack.
At around 40 bars of HP, Prunya will again teleport to the center and begin channelling for a stagger check. Three enemies will spawn in the general area of the 12, 5 and 7 positions. These enemies will constantly do counterable patterns. In order to complete the stagger check, the party must complete these counters to lower her shield to complete the stagger. In normal mode, there will only be the three initial enemies to counter. However, on hard mode, there will be 3 additional counterable enemies that will spawn either to the left or right of the initial enemy for a total of 6 counters. As only three enemies spawn at one time, only 3 party members will need to do the counter and one party member will be a "flex" in case of failed counters.
At around 16 bars of HP, Prunya will teleport to the center. 2 different colored rings (3 in hard mode) will spawn along with different colored orbs on the ring itself. The goal of the mechanic is to destroy the orbs with the color opposite of the ring. If the ring is blue, destroy all green orbs within that ring, if the ring is red, destroy all blue orbs within that ring and if the ring is green, destroy all red orbs within that ring. All of the correct orbs need to be destroyed. If even one orb failed to be destroyed or the wrong colored orb is destroyed, the orb will blow up dealing damage to any party members in the surrounding area. Also, Prunya will heal back to 23 bars of HP, requiring the party to do the mechanic again until you succeed. A couple of auto attacks should suffice to destroy the orbs. If you have succeeded in destroying all the orbs, make sure to stand away from the rings as they will explode shortly after.
As mentioned above, in normal mode, there will only be 2 rings. However, in hard mode, there will be 3 different colored rings.
In this section, we will go over the normal patterns that Prunya does.
